Richmond Brainstorm

Let's redo the whole idea about a Conference center in Richmond. The spot is perfect. I think it was almost there but it could not get over a few hurdles. Lets reexamine those hurdles....and move forward. Red Rover Red Rover (you know the game)...

It is going to take that kind of push to put Richmond back into the economic place it needs to be. Free Enterprise and profit have always been the impetus that has made many great things ikons in America. You know, Apple Pie, Chevrolet and so forth.  

To think that investors see the potential in putting their money where their mouth is and doing as much to put this on the table should be enough to convince the rest of us that there is potential in Richmond for such an idea. Do you think they got this kind of money to spend by making dumb decisions? And Ronald Reagan promoted the "trickle down theory" so how much of that you believe - certainly it would have provided jobs just like the big talk about Carbon Motors will provide 10,000 jobs that are not part of Carbon Motors. Those are what I am calling the "trickle down" jobs. We say we want jobs in Richmond - let's then get this back on the table and even include the restaurant tax to sustain it.
