Renew our sidewalk infrastructure

With modern housing subdivisions and new retail developments, adding sidewalks is often a low priority if it even gets done at all. We all know that being able to walk to our destinations has benefits related to health and wellness, but is also an essential thing for some who don't have access to other forms of transportation.

Richmond should renew its sidewalk infrastructure:

Develop zoning and city codes that require sidewalks be built into new developments
Improve maintenance and cleaning of existing sidewalks
Better publicize and enforce city codes related to sidwalk shoveling during snowy weather
